Get Out Get Active in conversation with volunteer Joe Jackson

This week is Volunteers’ Week, a time to celebrate the contribution millions of people who make a difference through volunteering. Volunteers are at the heart of Get Out Get Active and we are celebrating how our volunteers continue to support and engage some of the UK’s least active disabled and non-disabled people in inclusive and fun activities.

Man standing in an office. We spoke to Joe, a community minister at Harvest Temple Church based in Wolverhampton about his experience of GOGA and why he volunteers.

For me, it’s about, have you got some time, have you got the expertise, have you got passion? And I just feel if you have those three things and you want to see better for your community, it just goes hand in hand.
